NLC holds NEC meeting in Kebbi October 24
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has fixed 24th October 2022 to hold its National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Kebbi State.
In a press statement signed by the publicity committee chairman Tasau Lawal, NLC said the meeting will bring sanity to the challenges being faced by civil servants and other industrial unions across the country.
He added that the arrival day will be on the 22, and 23, of October 2022 while the opening ceremony will take place on Monday 24, of October 2022 at the Safar Guests Birnin Kebbi.
Lawal indicated that presidents of all the NLC-affiliated unions from the 36 states of the federation, union leaders and other stakeholders are expected to be in the meeting.
“Many important issues will be discussed most especially the one that involves the economy of the country as well as the issue of civil servants and industrial strikes that always cause a dilemma in many sectors will be addressed in order to avert any future occurrence in the country,” Lawal said.
He appealed to the people of Kebbi State, and civil servants to support the meeting and ensure that the meeting is successful as it is the first NLC NEC meeting will be held in Kebbi State.
