The National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Kano State has called for continuous prayers to curtail fire disasters in the country.

This is contained in a statement signed Mr Olayinka Olawore, the Public Relations Officer of the agency and made available to newsmen in Kano on Wednesday.

According to the statement, the prayer is necessary in view of the recent market fire outbreaks witnessed in some parts of the country.
“The disaster has led to destruction of property worth millions of naira. So, we need to pray for God’s intervention.”

The statement also urged Nigerians to continue to have faith in the present administration, saying that the success of government policies could not be realised without the support and cooperation of the citizenry.

“The present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari is committed to providing adequate security for lives and property as well as providing basic infrastructure to enhance the living conditions of Nigerians.

“Let us, therefore, continue to pray for divine guidance for our leaders.”

The agency expressed sympathy with all those who lost property in the recent fire outbreak in THE Sabon Gari Market and prayed God to replenish their losses.

The statement further urged individuals and corporate organisations to assist the victims to alleviate their suffering.
