Ibrahim claimed that despite their support for Umahi, based on the belief that he had the interest of the northern region (Arewa) at heart, no major infrastructural project has been executed in the North since Umahi assumed office.
“Today, we want the minister to point out to us what project he has done for the Arewa people. We are tired of promises; we demand that David Umahi carry the North along in the infrastructural development across the country,” Ibrahim stated.
He further emphasised that Umahi holds the position of Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, not just for Southern Nigeria, and should ensure that the North is not left behind in national projects.

Ibrahim also revealed that the forum had supported Umahi during his consulting and campaign efforts before and after the APC national convention. However, they have yet to see any assistance or benefit extended to Northern youths from his office.
The forum urged President Bola Tinubu to intervene, warning that Umahi’s actions could harm his reputation with the northern electorate ahead of the 2027 elections.
