
The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Sulaiman Kazaure has commended the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for being responsive to state statutory obligation in the provision and maintenance of camp facilities in the state despite the geometric increase in the population of corps members on a yearly basis.
According to Kazaure the on-going NYSC camp infrastructural renovation in the state has again proved Bello’s commitment to the prosperity of the NYSC scheme. The DG noted that the camp accommodation capacity of over 4,000 corps members is a display of the Governors passion for the scheme’s programmes and activities. Represented by Mrs. Oludolapo Ahile, who is the new state coordinator of the scheme, he lauded Governor Bello’s security and welfare plans for the serving corps members.
The State commissioner for Youth and Sports who is also the Chairman, NYSC Government Board, Comrade Arome Adoji who officially welcomed the new NYSC coordinator on behalf of the State Government, congratulated her on her new leadership position and urged her not to relent in the task of moving the scheme towards the path of growth and development.
