The Abese Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oloye Lekan Alabi, has said that the ascension of Oba Rashidi Ladoja as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland will usher in unprecedented development, judging from the successes the royal father has recorded in his private life.

Oba Ladoja is expected to be crowned the Olubadan of Ibadanland on September 26, 2025.

Speaking with The Guardian in Ibadan, Oloye Alabi expressed optimism that the successes Ladoja had recorded in business, politics, and public service would reflect in the Ibadan royalty.

He said: ”By the grace of God, we are going to have a successful Olubadan. He was a senator and governor, and these roles added to the experience of the dynamic Olubadan-in-Council. His private success will reflect in his royalty. We thank God for the emergence of Oba Ladoja. I wish him long life, good health, and success.”
