US President Barack Obama on Saturday called for equal rights for gays in Africa, comparing homophobia to racial discrimination he had encountered in the United States.

“I’ve been consistent all across Africa on this. I believe in the principle of treating people equally under the law… and the state should not discriminate on people based on their sexual orientation,” Obama said during a joint news conference with Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“When you start treating people differently, that is the path whereby freedoms begin to erode and bad things happen.”

“As a African-American in the United States I am painfully aware” of the consequences of discrimination, he told reporters.

Obama said the idea a person is discriminated against “because of who they love is wrong. Full stop. The state does not need to weigh in on religious doctrine.”

Go home Obama, go home! There are certain sensitivities about the African that westerners do not understand.

How embarrassing and wrong for Barack Obama, as President of the United States to be telling other countries they need to be pro gay marriage; which is essentially what he did in Kenya. Of the some 199 countries worldwide only 11 recognize gay marriage. Will then President Obama be visiting the remaining 188 countries telling them that they also need to change their ways and be pro gay marriage; not to mention who is he representing when he tells them that? According to Huffpost Politics (7-18-15), the most recent Associate Press poll shows only 39% of Americans now say they approved of the U.S. Supreme Court ruling legalizing gay marriage; while the majority “thinks religious liberties should win out over gay rights.” The poll was conducted July 9th to July 13th or less than three weeks after the court’s ruling. Please do not think when he says things like this that Obama is representing the American people or their values.

It is high time Africans thought differently independent of the Western ideology both religious or otherwise.
Can you listen to the wild beast saying if Africans reject gay ideology things will go wrong with Africans?
All African leaders must stand up to the challenge to reject the west and their demonic ideologies and modify their survival strategies.
