Obaseki condoles with THISDAY publisher over passing of mother
Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has commiserated with the Chairman of THISDAY Newspapers and ARISE TV Network, Nduka Obaigbena, over the passing of his mother, Princess Margaret Obaigbena, who passed at the age of 88.
Obaseki, in a statement, said the matriarch of Obaigbena family was a gracious, kind and compassionate woman, who cared deeply for her family and instilled strong values in all who encountered her.
The governor also said the late matriarch was a source of inspiration to many and was always available to provide guidance and direction to all who sought advice from her.
“Princess Obaigbena had an illustrious career as a nurse, rising to become the chief nursing officer of the defunct Bendel State Government and later Delta State Government. As a caregiver, she was diligent and committed to her work, providing excellent service to her community.
“She will be remembered for her compassionate spirit, good nature and love for others.
“I commiserate with the royal family of Owa Kingdom, friends and well-wishers of the Obaigbenas and pray that God will grant all the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
