Obaseki denies rift with Oshiomhole
Goveronor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State yesterday refuted speculations of an alleged rift between him and the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
Addressing reporters at Benin airport, he described the reports as “fake news.”
The governor, who has been on vacation, resumed work after his one-month yearly leave during which his deputy, Philip Shaibu, acted.
“I feel very good, refreshed and ready to resume work,” he said.
On hand to receive the governor were members and leaders of the APC, State Executive Council, socio-cultural groups as well as youths under the Coalition of Edo Returnees.
