Further strengthening the consensus, the Ogun East Governor’s Advisory Council, former local government chairmen, and members of the House of Representatives from the district all endorsed Abiodun’s candidacy. Hon. Femi Ogunbanwo, representing Ijebu Central Federal Constituency, praised the governor’s achievements and stated that the three federal lawmakers from Ogun East were aligned in their support.

In a defining moment at the meeting, former Senator Lekan Mustapha formally announced that Prince Dapo Abiodun had been adopted as the consensus candidate for Ogun East Senatorial District. He further disclosed that the senatorial nomination form had already been secured on behalf of the governor, underscoring the depth of commitment among stakeholders.
