The Ogun State Government has announced plans to revamp its state-owned Printing Corporation to enhance the distribution of educational materials across public schools and strengthen internally generated revenue (IGR).
The initiative coincided with the inauguration of Prince Segun Seriki as the new Chairman of the Corporation, who pledged to reposition the organisation for improved efficiency and service delivery.
Seriki emphasized that the Corporation’s core mandate is to provide efficient, reliable, secure, and cost-effective printing solutions while supporting government ministries, departments, and agencies.
“Our mission is clear: deliver professional, high-quality printing services. Under this administration, we are committed to modernization, upgrading machinery, and adopting digital printing technologies. This will improve turnaround time, enhance quality, and ensure effective production of educational materials,” he said.
Noting that the Corporation had previously operated with obsolete equipment, Seriki stressed that revamping the facility is essential to meet modern standards. He also highlighted plans for staff capacity building and professional development, ensuring that the interests of Ogun residents remain a top priority.
Beyond education, the Corporation is expected to reclaim its role in revenue generation, serving as a sustainable source of income for the state while reducing government production costs.
Seriki commended Governor Dapo Abiodun for his developmental agenda, describing his economic drive as pivotal in positioning Ogun State as an industrial hub in Nigeria and projecting the country as West Africa’s economic centre.
