Oh! Give thanks to the Good Lord

General Overseer, The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, Worldwide, Pastor Lazarus Muoka ministering in one of the church programmes
Psalm 50: 14-15 says: “Offer unto God Thanksgiving, and pay thy vows unto the Most High. And call upon me in the day of trouble, I will deliver thee and thou shall glorify me.”
Like a tiny mustard seed, The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement, popularly called The Lord’s Chosen, that started 20 years ago, has blossomed to be in all the continents of the world. Little wonder, the leadership and members are in a celebration mood. Starting with a few hundred members in 2002, with many oblivious then of where God is taking them to, its membership strength has soared to several millions across the globe. But the man at the helm of affairs, Pastor Lazarus Muoka, knew because when he was leaving his former church, he told the members there that he was pregnant, but today that pregnancy has been delivered and everyone is now aware of it.
Seeing what God has done in the past 20 years in the Church, you will agree that members need to be grateful; and this calls for a great celebration and Thanksgiving to God.
Pastor Lazarus Muoka was given a threefold vision — grassroots revival across the world; revival of the Apostolic Christian experiences among the body of Christ; and the revival of heaven conscientiousness in believers all over the world — and also a mandate to win 10 billion souls.
Having received these visions and mandate, Pastor Muoka has been working assiduously to fulfill them. His message has always centred on holiness and righteousness, with emphasis on doing the will of God, which will make the doer prosperous. For 20 years, he has been preaching this message without wavering.
Prov. 14v34 says: “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” The astronomical growth and expansion of The Lord’s Chosen is attributed to over flowing grace of God upon the General Overseer who loves God so much that he can do anything for Him.
It might interest you to know that when the Lord’s Chosen started some people (enemies) gave the church three months to fold. Three months came and passed and nothing happened, so, they extended it to six months, but because the Almighty God was with us, we are here waxing strong. Lam 3v37 says: “Who is he that saith and it cometh to pass when the Lord has not commanded it.” Today those enemies have buried their heads in shame, while others are coming for the restitution of their actions and asking God to forgive them.
It is not because we are righteous or stronger than others; rather it is by the grace of God. 1Cor 1v26-29: “For ye see your calling brethren how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has Chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things that are mighty… that no flesh should glory in His presence,” so you see, we have every course to thank and glorify Him because He has done us well. In this place He has given us testimonies that are not heard anywhere else. Many that have lost hope in life came here and have regained the essence to live. Today, God has made some of them kings and queens. Many that would have died are today alive because they came to The Lord’s Chosen. Many of the brethren in The Lord’s Chosen, today, came by revelation. God on His own is bringing people to the church. This shows the uniqueness of this great movement; so, for all these things and many more, we have mapped out today as our special day to thank and glorify His name.
Psalm 100v1-5: “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. 2: Serve the Lord with gladness; come before His presence with singing. 3: Know ye that the Lord, He is God, it is He that has made us and not we ourselves, we are His people, the sheep of His pasture. 4: Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise, be thankful unto Him and bless His name. 5, For the Lord is good His mercy is everlasting and His truth endureth to all generations.”
As we celebrate and thank God, we should not lose sight that the heartbeat of God is soul winning, which is the strength of this ministry. Evangelism is the purpose of our existence.
The birth of The Lord’s Chosen Ministry is with a bang. The uniqueness of the message of salvation for its pulpit is clear to the world. The General Overseer does not mince words in condemning any sinful activity. Twentieth anniversary is, indeed, a landmark for an institution, hence every member should take stock of his/herself to know where he/she stands with God. Being under the tutelage of a man of God who preaches raw message of God and condemns all sinful acts, what will be your faith if the trumpet sounds now? Will you be raptured to be with our Lord Jesus Christ? Or are you being carried away by the mighty moves of God’s powerful manifestations of signs and wonders? The past 20 years has been spent spreading the word, but what have you achieved as an individual Christian running a heavenly race? If you are weighed in a spiritual balance, will you be found wanting? Will you be free from sin and eventually make heaven? This is a million dollar question every member and, indeed, every Christian must answer. We are in a preparatory race to meet God.
God has a standard, which must be met prior to meeting Him. One must be pure in heart, and free from sin. While the Israelites were preparing to meet God in the wilderness, God, Himself, directed Moses on what every Israelite must do. Exodus 19:11-12 says: “And the Lord said unto Moses, go unto the people, and sanctify them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes. 11: And be ready against the third day: for the third day the Lord will come down in the sight of all the people upon mountain Sinai.” Meeting with God, your creator and the maker of heaven and earth is not a bed of roses, for there are sacrifices that must be made. In accordance with the Biblical standard, one must be sanctified. Sanctification entails that one must be born again, accept our Lord Jesus Christ, as his/her Lord and Saviour. He/she must be converted and be dead to sin. One must manifest the fruits of the spirit, which includes love, patience, longsuffering and all that to be Christ-like.
In the lead scripture, God made a declaration that He is holy hence the people coming to meet Him or to serve Him must be holy. Holiness entails purity, righteousness, total obedience to the words of God. Certain sins should not be mentioned amid you, especially among the workers in the vineyard.
Again, can you as a worker in the vineyard and in the race list how many souls you have won for God? As a worker — an usher, protocol, security, press, chorister, house care teacher or even a pastor — you are meant to win souls. As far as you can go out, you are to preach to unbelievers and win souls for God’s Kingdom. With this, you are recovering the perishing souls for Christ. For God to direct souls to come to Him through you; you must be sanctified!
