Okadigbo condoles Mele Kyari over daughter’s death
The pioneer Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Senator Margery Chuba-Okadigbo, has expressed her condolences to the family of the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPCL, Mr. Mele Kyari, over the death of his daughter, Fatima.
In her condolence message, Sen. Okadigbo prayed for the peaceful repose of Fatima’s soul and asked God to grant her family the strength to bear the loss.
“I have learnt with great shock of the death of your beloved daughter Fatima. No parent should have to suffer the loss of a child, especially one so young. From my own experience, I understand how empty you must feel without her.
“I know this is a difficult time for you and your family. Words are inadequate at a time like this; however, know that you and your family are in my thoughts.
“No words are enough to convey the grief or offer condolences for what you’ve lost, but I pray that as the months and years pass, you find peace in the beautiful memories you created together as a family.
“She will live on in your hearts. Please accept my heartfelt condolences for the death of Fatima. You are not alone in this; we are all with you,” she said.
Fatima died on Friday at the age of 25 after a protracted illness. Her funeral prayer was held at the Annur Mosque, Abuja, with dignitaries in attendance, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, who led other mourners.
