Road construction would form the thrust of the Alliance for Democracy (AD), if elected.

The party’s candidate, Olusola Oke, disclosed this yesterday when he visited the monarch of Epe, Raphael Olabanji as part of his campaign.

He condemned the poor state of roads, particularly the one leading to Epe, which is an agrarian community in the Ondo East Local Council area.

Oke criticised the governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, for failing to rehabilitate the road, despite that he hailed from the community.

He said it was worrisome that there was no access road to transport agricultural products from the state-owned agro business city where youths are trained.

The candidate urged the people to vote for the AD because of its past record of development in the state.

“The AD would represent good governance and development in the rural and urban areas,” he said.

He urged them to protect their voter cards ahead of the election and not to sell their votes on the election day.

The candidate promised that the people would experience development if they vote for the party.

He added that his government would put an end to the stealing of the state’s resources and give the youths, women and children a new lease of life.
