Public complaints commissioner in Imo State, Chief Willie Amadi, has urged Governor Rochas Okorocha to stop termination of workers’ appointment without due process.

Public complaints commissioner in Imo State, Chief Willie Amadi, has urged Governor Rochas Okorocha to stop termination of workers’ appointment without due process.

The lawyer is disturbed by the avalanche of complaints to his office alleging non-adherence to terms of employment and other administrative inadequacies by the governor.

Amadi, who visited the governor at Douglas House, Owerri, on Monday, also asked the governor to pay workers their full salaries, pensions and gratuities in line with the statutory terms and rules of engagement.

The commissioner said that his office received many complaints, which required urgent attention in line with relevant laws, adding that the commission was working with some government agencies to ensure that people’s rights were not infringed upon.

He, however, promised to work with the state government.

On his part, Okorocha urged the commission to look into the use of social media and internet to propagate falsehood in the country.

He also offered to work with the commission to ensure quality service delivery.
