In continuation of her programme of providing homes for indigent widows and orphans in various communities in the 27 councils of the state, wife of the Imo State governor, Mrs. Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha, under the fourth phase of her pet project, She Needs A Roof Project (SNARP), an arm of the Women Of Divine Destiny Initiative (WODDI) has handed over keys of 22 fully furnished two-bedroom bungalows to its beneficiaries.

This brings the total number of such buildings built by the body to 172.

Unfortunately, one of the beneficiaries, Grace Iheanacho from Eziobodo in Owerri West Council, died before the building was completed and furnished.

But the governor’s wife handed over the keys to the house to her grand son, Chilobi.

Speaking with The Guardian in Owerri after the hand over at various locations in Oru West, Orsu and Orlu Councils, Mrs. Okorocha said there was no political undertone in the gesture, but meant to bring succour to the homeless less privileged indigent widows and orphans identified by her search team during the verification period.
