Okowa moves against flooding in Delta
Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has pledged to painstakingly address the flooding in Delta State through execution of sustainable drainage projects.
During an inspection of some ongoing construction works in Asaba and its environs yesterday, the governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to a cleaner environment.He, however, lauded the quality of work while being briefed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Fred Edafioghor.
Accompanied by the Secretary to the State Government, Chiedu Ebie; Chief of Staff, Government House, Olorogun David Edevbie; and his Senior Political Adviser, Funkekeme Solomon, Okowa stated: “We have to manage our finances. We have to be wise in our spending because these projects cannot be abandoned.”
