Okowa supports documentation of immigrants
Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has supported President Muhammadu Buhari’s quest for documentation of immigrants, saying it will ensure proper planning and assist in the security of lives and property of Nigerians.
He assured the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) of his administration’s continual support as it renders vital services to Delta people and Nigerians in general.
Okowa stated this when the Comptroller General of NIS, Mr. Mohammad Babandede, visited him in Asaba yesterday, noting that it was important for appropriate reforms to be carried out for the benefit of all Nigerians.
“It is important for security purposes and for population planning for foreigners to be documented because, without appropriate documentation it can impact negatively on the planning for the nation when it comes to taking care of our people,” he added.
