Okowa to unveil new state secretariat in December
Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, has disclosed that he will inaugurate the state’s new multi-billion naira secretariat in the first week of December this year.
He explained that the new secretariat was named after the Asagba of Asaba, Prof. Chike Edozie, because his tenure brought peace and sustainable development to the state capital.
Okowa made this known shortly after inspecting facilities at the secretariat and the new Technical College, Asaba. He said the secretariat was almost completed, but there were still a few things to be done, adding that the consultant handling the project confirmed that the project would be ready in three weeks.
The governor, who expressed delight at the level and quality of work done at the secretariat, said almost all the floors had been fully furnished.
On maintenance of the facility when completed and put in use, he said alternative management service was being worked out to ensure that the secretariat complex stood the test of time.
