President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr Olanipekun Olukoyede, on the occasion of his birthday anniversary today (Tuesday).
The President praised Mr Olukoyede for demonstrating professionalism, courage, and unwavering commitment in the discharge of his duties, reinforcing the EFCC’s mandate to rid the nation of economic and financial crimes.
He acknowledged the EFCC Chairman’s dedication to the anti-corruption fight, promotion of transparency in governance, and pursuit of institutional reforms within Nigeria’s anti-graft architecture.
President Tinubu specifically commended Olukoyede for establishing the Special Task Force on Currency Offences, aimed at tackling naira abuse and the dollarisation of the economy, as well as for introducing a strategic framework to combat cybercrimes and economic sabotage.
In a statement issued by Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu prayed to God to continue to guide, guard, and bless the EFCC Chairman in his determination to help free Nigeria from the economic ills that have held it back for decades.
