Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege has mourned the passage of the deputy president of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE), Mallam Umar Tudunwada.

Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege has mourned the passage of the deputy president of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE), Mallam Umar Tudunwada.

The Delta lawmaker’s sympathies were contained in two separate condolence letters to the NGE and the Kano State government signed by his Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Yomi Odunuga.

He said it was unfortunate that the experienced and widely travelled journalist died in an automobile accident on his way from an official engagement in Abuja.

Omo-Agege prayed for the repose of the soul of the dead, adding that the demise had created a vacuum in reporting especially in the current democratic setting that needs the informed interventions of the likes of Tudunwada.
