Chieftain of the Alliance for Democracy in Ondo State, Dr. Akin Olowookere, who stepped down his governorship ambition, has justified the candidature of Chief Olusola Oke as the authentic flag bearer of the party for the November 26, poll.

Reacting to allegations against Oke by the party’s National Legal Adviser, Mr. Kehinde Aworele, who insisted that the National Executive Committee (NEC) did not recognise Oke as AD member, Olowookere said he steeped down voluntarily for him (Oke).

Olowookere however, attributed the criticism against Oke, who ditched the All Progressives Congress (APC) after the September 3 primary for the AD, to jealousy and ill feelings for his popularity in the state.
