Head of Service, Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita, has attributed delays in construction of houses by contractors as one of the reasons over 54,968 remaining civil servants, who subscribed to the Federal Integrated Staff Housing (FISH) programme, are yet to get their allocations.

Oyo-Ita urged them to be patient, as more developers from states and private sector had been mobilised to build more houses.

Over 55,000 civil servants have so far subscribed to the FISH programme initiated in 2016. Out of this figure, only 32 of them received their keys.

While presenting keys to beneficiaries, at weekend, in Abuja, Oyo-Ita said: ‘’What we are celebrating today is delivery of not just houses, handbooks and website, but also success story of a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) initiative, aimed at enhancing partnership between government agencies and private sector.

She said FISH was designed to be implemented as an inter-governmental inter-ministerial and public-private partnership project, with active collaboration with state governments and federal agencies.
