‘Only genuine migrants will gain entry into Nigeria’
The Federal Government yesterday said Nigeria would only allow genuine and regular migrants into the country to stem influx of bad elements and increase security at the borders.
Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, made the declaration while commissioning the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) base in Jimeta, Yola, Adamawa State.In a statement signed by the public relations officer of NIS, Sunday James, the minister urged officers of the service to be security-conscious for the economic prosperity of Nigeria and “ensure that only genuine and regular migrants are allowed into the country.”
