Oshiomhole blames PDP for citizens’ hardship
Governor Adams Oshiomhole has alleged that the present hardship facing Nigerians is the result of 16 years of misrule by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He made the allegation at the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s rally at Ikhin and Amoya, both in Owan East Local Council area of the state.
According to him, the PDP’s leadership used the funds meant for the country’s development for its personal benefits.
The governor urged them to be patient, as the President Mohammudu Buhari-led government is working hard to fix the problems.
Oshiomhole said: “The PDP caused this hardship by stealing the funds meant to purchase arms, construct roads, build airports and hospitals.”
He, however, commended them for keeping faith with the APC and urged them to be patient as there was still more work to be done.
“I want you all to vote Godwin Obaseki as governor, come Sept. 10 for these works left undone to be completed,” he said.
Obaseki said if elected, his administration would focus on human capital development, cautioning that they should not be deceived by what he called the PDP’s “lies of working for the people if voted back to office.’’
“People never knew that government was about service, until the APC government came on board. The previous government was all about sharing money, instead of working for the generality of all,” he said.
