Osinbajo, Kumuyi preach hope at Deeper Life Crusade in Abuja
The Abuja Night of Extraordinary Wonders Crusade lived up to its billing as a gathering of unexpected miracles when the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM), Pastor William F. Kumuyi, visited the nation’s capital for an impactful three days of revival.
The crusade was unique in so many ways.
For so many years, Pastor Kumuyi had not visited Abuja for such an outreach programme that ended on Sunday. It was reliably gathered that Kumuyi’s last evangelistic campaign to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) was in 2006.
The crusade, which was a crowd puller, attracted personalities from all walks of life and it had in attendance the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo. Others include the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, FCT Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) chairman, Dr. Israel Akanji, Pastor Isaac Oriakhi of Gospel Light Church, and Dr. Paul Enenche of Dunamis International Church, Abuja, among others.
The 60,000-capacity National Stadium, Abuja, venue of the crusade, was jam-packed with worshippers, and every adjourning space around the stadium was covered to the brim. As at the last count, the crusade recorded over 90,000 participants.
The Vice President, who was delighted to see such multitude responding to the call of God, said “there is hope for Nigeria,” as he called on Christian faithful to be steadfast in their commitment to God, and continue to expect a turn-around in the country’s fortunes.
“We need a miracle to overcome the challenges facing us as a nation. Our nation is obviously passing through challenges in its nationhood, but we look to a great miracle from the Lord to overcome them,” Osinbajo added.
Speaking on the topic ‘The Extraordinary Wonders of His Returning Glory,’ Kumuyi said the glory of God is coming back to each individual, family and to our nation because all mountains will roll away during and after the crusade.
