Over 40 support groups in Nasarawa State have agreed to come together for Bola Tinubu’s presidential campaign.

Over 40 support groups in Nasarawa State have agreed to come together for Bola Tinubu’s presidential campaign.

Also, supporters of the late Abubakar Audu in Kogi State are already regrouping with the aim of realising the life ambition of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential flagbearer.

Senator Tanko Al-Makura made this known to journalists in Lafia, yesterday, after meeting with the various groups.

While addressing the journalists, he described Tinubu as a soldier of Nigeria’s democracy.

He said the meeting was to unite and galvanise full support within and outside APC ahead of the campaign that kicks off in September.

“Tinubu has demonstrated, by his records, that he is capable of leading Nigeria to the dreamed destination. He is the best presidential candidate for Nigeria and Africa,” Al-Makura said.

Also, the coordinator of Bola Ahmed Tinubu campaign in the state, Yusuf Musa, said since the emergence of Tinubu as APC presidential candidate, various support groups have continued to spring up.

“We are trying to streamline the groups because they are too many. However, we will bring every group together, including those who have not joined in the state.

“We will galvanise the various groups to demonstrate our full support for Tinubu to become the next president of Nigeria,” Musa stated.

IN Kogi, the Audu group, which expressed concern over the zero delegate votes scored by Tinubu at the APC primary, has commenced a process of reforming the party ahead of the 2023 poll.

The APC chieftains, who are mostly supporters, admirers and followers of former Governor Audu, vowed to rally support for Tinubu.

To this end, APC members from the three senatorial districts of Kogi, in solidarity with the late Adoja political dynasty, are putting finishing touches to achieve the goal.

As they vowed to bring together all the supporters of the late Audu under one umbrella, an APC stalwart disclosed: “Interface is already ongoing at various levels across the state with families, wards and local councils to assemble these wonderful people to achieve a common goal of salvaging our great party.

“Our common goal is to rescue the Kogi chapter of APC and reset it on a path to vote in transformational and purposeful leadership at all levels of governance, especially during the presidential election.”
