Good Governance Watch in Africa (GGWA) has applauded North East Development Commission (NEDC) for its reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts in the troubled zone.

GGWA Country Manager, Gideon Unazi, welcomed the 10-year North East Stabilisation and Development Master Plan (NESDMP), adding that it would facilitate transformative growth and lift the citizens out of poverty.

Expressing satisfaction with the performance of the NEDC Managing Director, Mohammed Alkali, Unazi expressed the hope that the full implementation of the roadmap would usher in needed growth and development of the region.

He, therefore, called on relevant stakeholders, development partners and donors to mobilise resources and invest optimally in the geopolitical zone.
