PDP candidate loses as APC wins Kogi central senatorial seat

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial candidate for Kogi Central, Natasha Uduaghan, lost the senatorial election to Abubakar Sadiku-Ohere of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial candidate for Kogi Central, Natasha Uduaghan, lost the senatorial election to Abubakar Sadiku-Ohere of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), therefore, declared Sadiku-Ohere winner of the Saturday’s election for Kogi Central Senatorial District.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Returning Officer for Kogi Central, Prof. Rotimi Ajayi, announced the result, yesterday, in Okene.

He said Sadiku-Ohere scored a total of 52,132 votes against Uduaghan’s 51,763 votes to clinch the seat.

“Sadiku-Ohere of APC, having scored the highest votes in the election for Kogi Central, is hereby declared winner, and is, therefore, returned elected,” Ajayi said.
