PDP wins Kaduna House of Assembly by-election
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Usman AliBaba, has been declared the winner of the by-election conducted for the Sabon-Gari Constituency seat in Kaduna State House of Assembly.
Declaring the results at the weekend, the Returning Officer (RO), Dr. Mohammed-Nuruddin Musa, said that AliBaba was duly elected, having polled the highest valid votes cast.
With of 9,113 votes, the PDP flag-bearer defeated his closest contender from the All Progressives Congress (APC), Musa A. Musa, who polled 7,404 votes.
The RO also announced that Musa Halilu of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) polled 305 votes, Anas Abdullahi of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) polled 62 votes, while Chindo Ibrahim of Action Democratic Party (ADP) polled 61 votes.
