Petrol Still N140

fuelPETROL marketers in Enugu State are yet to adjust to the new fuel price of N86.00 as proposed by the federal government to begin yesterday.

Independent fuel marketers sold the product in Enugu yesterday at between N135 and N140 per litre. Most filling stations owned and operated by major marketers were
either not open or lacked stock to dispose.

Oando filling stations, which had supply sold till December 31 night at the rate of N87 per litre to customers but failed to sell yesterday.

In one of the independent fuel stations along Zik’s Avenue, where the product was selling for N140, the operator told The Guardian that he was not aware of the directive.
