The alleged abductor of Ese Oruru, Yunusa Dahiru, has been arraigned by the Nigerian Police on Tuesday at a Federal High Court in Yenagoa.

Yunusa was charged with a six-count charge of abduction, illicit sex and unlawful canal knowledge.

Ese was allegedly abducted in Bayelsa State and taken to Kano in August 2015 by Yunusa, where he converted her to Islam and forcefully married her without the consent of her parents.

Following his arraignment, the alleged abductor has been remanded at Okaka Prison in Yenagoa.
