Police begin trial of officers in viral video

The Police High Command headquarters, Abuja, has commenced trial of six policemen, showcasing indiscipline in viral videos.

A spokesperson for the Command, Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), Muyiwa Adejobi, who dropped the hint, noted that three of the officers were captured manhandling a citizen in Rivers State, while the other three were captured firing bullets into the air, while protecting a Kano comedian.

Adejobi said: “Inspector Adejoh Siaka; Inspector Friday Obaka, and Sgt. Ndiwa Kpuebari from Rivers State are the men who slapped a man on the road in Rivers. They reported at the Force Headquarters today (yesterday). Trial will soon commence. We will update as soon as possible.”

On Kano incident, he said: “Sgt. Abdullahi Badamasi, fired a pistol; Sgt. Isah Danladi and Insp. Dahiru Shuaibu fired the rifle. These are the men caught on the video firing into the air in Kano. They reported today (yesterday), at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, for trial. The trial is ongoing. We will update the public as soon as the trial is over.”
