Nigeria police have condemned and called for an investigation into the alleged assault of an unidentified man by some of its officers in a viral video in Lagos State.
The viral video shared on social media on Wednesday showed some policemen beating a man who refused to hand over his phone to them.

Police spokesman, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, reacting to the video said in a Tweet described the incident is disgusting.
Adejobi, however, urged the Lagos State police spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, to apprehend the officers captured in the video and conduct an investigation on the matter.
He added that the victim in the video should personally send him a direct message for further information.
