Police commends Aregbesola on security

The leadership of the Nigeria Police has lauded the Osun state government for prioritizing the security sector in the state.The commendation came from the newly posted Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG Zone 1X), Danjuma Muhammed Ibrahim, and the State Commissioner of Police, Olafimihan Adeoye, during the familiarization visit to governor Aregbesola at the Government House, Osogbo.

AIG Ibrahim, whose jurisdiction covers Osun, Oyo and Ondo states said Aregbesola’s administration has done well to strengthen the security in the state and enhance the protection of lives and property of the citizenry. The new AIG who was accompanied by the Commissioners of Police in Osun, Oyo and Ondo states; Olafimihan Adeoye, Abiodun Odunde and Gbenga Adeyanju among other top officers, said Osun had raised the bar of security.

Ibrahim expressed delight on the level of security apparatuses put in place by the Aregbesola administration, which he said, will help both the state and zonal commands to perform effectively, efficiently and professionally. He held that the Zonal Command deemed it fit to visit the Governor on the readiness of the men and officers of the command to provide adequate security before, during and after the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state.
