Police Nabs Suspected Robbers, Recovers Firearms
Men of the Lagos State Police Command recently arrested some suspected hoodlums in different parts of the metropolis recovering firearms, two motorcycles and charms.
In a statement signed by Ken Nwosu, a Deputy Superintendent of Police and the state Police Public Relations Officer, one of the suspects Chinedu Okeke was intercepted at Orile, along Lagos-Badagry Expressway while a bag containing AK 47 rifle, three magazines and 25 live ammunitions were recovered.
Similarly, men of the Ogombo Police Division arrested some suspected robbers at Okun Aja, namely Ibraheem Hassasn aka AK 47, Hammed Suleiman, Yusuf Akinsanya, Jide Araba, Segun Shola and Gbenga.
Two Honda motorcycles and charms were recovered from the hoodlums. At Alakuko Division, at about 11:15pm, two suspected hoodlums along Bale Animashaun road took to their heels on sighting the police.
A white lady’s handbag and a Bajaj motorcycle were recovered. At Ikeja Division, two locally made double barrel pistols were recovered from three suspected hoodlums while a Mazda car with registration number FKJ 21 DA was also recovered.
At Alakuko Division, at about 11:15pm two suspected hoodlums along Bale Animashaun Road took to their heels on sighting the police.
