Police spokesperson Olumuyiwa Adejobi has stated that the force only recruits based on merit and not on nepotism or sentiment as many would want to believe.

Adejobi stated this while replying to X user who requested inquiries concerning recruitment into the Police Force.

According to the user, he has been trying to reach Adejobi for assistance because he has applied more than three times but has not been successful.

“@Princemoye1 Day9 of seeking for your help with police recruitment. This is my fourth time of applying. Please 🙏 help sir,” the user said.

Replying to the post, Adejobi stated that recruitment is based on merit.

He said it’s only those who met the requirements that will be recruited.

“Joining the police is based on merit, not nepotism or sentiment, you need to meet the requirements and pass all the screenings and exams. So, stop undue blackmailing here.

“If you like, call me out for more than 500 times, your capability to be in the force will be examined.”
