A non-governmental organisation, Saf-She Enterprise Foundation, has distributed Ramadan packages to no fewer than 60 households and vulnerable individuals in society.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Saf-She Enterprise Foundation, Mrs. Safiya Yaman, while flagging off the distribution of the package at the Radio Niger complex, Shiroro Road, Minna, on Saturday, March 15, 2025, said the initiative was born out of the zeal to support the needy.
She noted that this aligns with the mission and vision of Saf-She Enterprise, which is geared towards supporting the less privileged, especially feeding the poorest of the poor to give them a sense of belonging.
Yaman explained that the foundation, established five years ago, began its humanitarian services during Ramadan with a small number of about 35 households in 2024 but expanded to 60 in the 2025 Ramadan.
Safiya stated, “I was born into giving. I always have the zeal to help people in need. I started by sharing cooked food, but three years ago, I decided to distribute food items during the month of Ramadan, which is full of blessings, forgiveness, and rewards. I feel I should use the opportunity to support the less privileged.”

Yaman, who is also a senior news reporter with Prestige 91.7 FM, Minna, hinted that the target beneficiaries were drawn from Maitumbi, Barikin Sale, Kpakungun, Tayi village, and Tunga, all in Minna, the state capital.
Items distributed included rice, spaghetti, macaroni, magic seasoning, salt, tomato paste, and a token of cash.
Yaman applauded some notable individuals in the state for their unwavering commitment to sustaining her initiative.
Earlier, the Secretary of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Niger State Council, Comrade Usman Chiji, expressed delight over Safiya Yaman’s foresight and urged her to continue supporting the less privileged.
Comrade Chiji also assured that the NUJ would continue to support the foundation.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Rabi Shehu stated that they were happy about the gesture, adding that Safiya had demonstrated that she is a caring mother. She prayed that God would reward her efforts.
