RCCG donates 20,000 face masks to Lagos
The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has donated additional 20,000 medical face masks to the Lagos State government as part of its contribution to combat the spread of COVID-19 in the state.
The donation was made during the commissioning of O Care Face Mask factory, the first registered medical face mask facility in the country.
Speaking at the occasion, Pastor Idowu Iluyomade, Special Assistant to the General Overseer, Christian Social Responsibility, said the mission would continue to support the government’s efforts in the fight against COVID-19.
He said: “This is in addition to the 11 Intensive Care Unit beds fully fitted with ventilators donated to Lagos, Ogun and Plateau states by Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, at the onset of the pandemic.”
Managing Director of Transgreen Nigeria Limited, Mr Cyprian Orakpo, urged religious bodies, medical institutions, government agencies, state governments, educational institutions and the general public to place orders, as the firm is sure of quick delivery in its bid to make affordable medical face masks accessible to all.
