Re: I won’t apologise to Benjamin Kalu – Robinson Uwak
The Guardian has taken down the news story captioned “I won’t apologize to Benjamin Kalu – Robinson Uwak”, which erroneously portrayed the Spokesperson of the House of Representatives, Hon Benjamin Kalu, in a bad light.
The Guardian found out that the story was not only misleading but fell short of verifiable facts in tandem with the ethics of journalism.
We apologize for the error, which is regrettable. It was not in any way intended to impugn the character and integrity of the Honourable Benjamin Kalu or smear the image of the House of Representatives.
We regret the damage it must have caused Honourable Kalu, his family, friends, and alumni, including his worship place where he is an elder, the traditional leadership institution of Bende ancient kingdom where he serves as a title holder, and his entire constituents in the Bende federal constituency of Abia state.
