The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has lauded the Armed Forces of Nigeria, saying that their bravery, courage, selfless service, and unwavering dedication in the face of various security challenges had ensured that the nation’s institutions, businesses, and communities thrive in safety and peace.

In a message on the occasion of the 2025 Remembrance Day, the President of the ACCI, Dr. Emeka Obegolu (SAN), said the chamber remembers with deep respect those who had paid the ultimate price in service to the fatherland and recognised the enduring sacrifices made by their families.

Obegolu said, “These heroes have left an indelible legacy that calls us to not only remember them with ceremonies but also to reflect their values in our actions.

“As a chamber committed to fostering economic growth and development, we are particularly grateful to the Armed Forces for their role in creating a secure environment that allows businesses to operate and flourish. Their efforts enable us to pursue shared prosperity and build a thriving economy.”

He pledged the support of the ACCI to the military and their families and called on Nigerians, businesses, and institutions to join in the effort to ensure the welfare of troops and their loved ones.

He added, “Let us pledge to build a nation where unity prevails over division, where peace silences the echoes of conflict, and where the sacrifices of our heroes inspire us to serve one another selflessly.

“On behalf of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry, I salute the gallant men and women of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. May their bravery and sacrifice continue to inspire a united and prosperous Nigeria.”
