Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Remi Tinubu, will inaugurate two flyovers and some other projects in Kwara State today.

“History will be made in Kwara State today as Nigeria’s First Lady will inaugurate two flyovers constructed by the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on the same day,” the Kwara State Government announced in a statement on Wednesday morning.

Named in honour of the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, and the late General Tunde Idiagbon, the two flyovers, which are constructed at strategic areas within Ilorin, the capital of Kwara, will ease the free flow of traffic significantly and boost the economy of the state.

The First Lady touched down in Ilorin on Tuesday for a three-day visit and headed to the Kwara State University of Education, where she inaugurated the ICT Community Centre, built by NITDA in collaboration with the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), her foundation.

Senator Tinubu also commissioned an ultra-modern Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Dr. Amuda Aluko Ward, constructed by Governor AbdulRazaq.

Aside from the two flyovers the First Lady will commission during this period, she will also be taken on a tour of a few other iconic projects of the AbdulRazaq-led administration.

These include projects such as the Innovation Hub, Visual Arts Centre, Sugar Factory Film Studio, and the Garment Factory.
