Reps, deputy speaker sues for patience with Buhari on economy
Oyo APC urges prayers for sustainable peace
Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sulaimon Yusuff Lasun has appealed to Nigerians to show understanding with President Muhammadu Buhari in his quest to put the economy of the country on a sound footing.
In his message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Wole Oladimeji yesterday, the Deputy Speaker also appealed to Nigerians to reach out to one another in love irrespective of religious inclination.
Lasun while urging Nigerians to eschew violence maintained that it is only in an atmosphere of peace, love and unity that meaningful development could be achieved rather than fighting one another.
He said “The 30-day of fasting is a period for Muslim faithful to reflect on their behaviours and make amends, just like the Christians too have their own period of fasting.”
“Therefore, there is need to make good use of the opportunity and be closer to God and eschew violence in our daily activities.”
“There is good reason to make this country great, so, Nigerians should have patience with the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari who is working tirelessly to rid the country of corruption.
“The energy put in to fight corruption is greater than that which would be used to put up developmental projects, everything is in stages, therefore, Nigerians should cooperate and support the president in the fight against corruption.
Also, the Oyo State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) called on Muslims in the country to intensify their prayers for sustainable peace, tranquility and understanding as well as improved economy saying this would guarantee better living for the citizenry.
The APC in its Eid el Fitri message by its Director of Publicity and Strategy, Olawale Sadare said, “as Nigerian Muslims and other faithful rejoice on the occasion of another conclusion of Ramadan fast, it is expedient on them to intensify their prayers for the unity and progress of the country through sustainable peace, mutual love and understanding among themselves in view of the current challenges undermining the laudable efforts of the present administration.

The President spent about 3billion Naira to have his ear checked in England while a majority of Nigerians are languishing in poverty and you guys continue to shout patience with the President while he fights corruption.
The President should first fight the corruption that sleeps with him before talks about fighting corruption.
We will review and take appropriate action.
