Speaking on the significance of the 30th anniversary , Rev Chris Oarhe shared, “30 is a number of maturity; Jesus began His public ministry at 30, David ascended the throne of Israel at 30, and Joseph became a king at 30. As a church marking its 30th anniversary, we are stepping into our season of maturity, returning to our mandate – the FAITH message.”

Addressing the convention’s theme, ‘THE FAITH LIFE,’ Rev Chris Oarhe emphasized, “Faith is not theological; it’s a lifestyle – ‘the just shall live by FAITH.’ We are revisiting the fundamentals- the faith life. Our journey began with faith in 1993 when I arrived in Port Harcourt, a place I had only read about in books and heard about in the media. It was a faith journey and It has been a continuous faith journey.”

He underscored the core message of Hiitop International Christian Centre as instructed by God, saying, “Our instruction from God is clear: when people work and operate by faith, they will assume their leadership positions. This aligns with our mission – ‘Raising Leaders, Modeling Christ.’”

Speaking further, Rev Chris Oarhe said the 30th-anniversary celebration marks the beginning of new things for Hilltop International Christian Centre – a new beginning in their faith work. “I see us playing the role of oversight and guarding the new generation, planting new churches, raising more leaders, and spreading the work of faith. I see a greater global impact,” he said.

To attendees, he encouraged, “Come expecting miracles, testimonies, healing, and the truth. Most importantly , come for a deep understanding of what the faith life is about and how to live the faith lifestyle. The principle of faith is as predictable as gravity – you know how it’s going to end if you follow it. He charges everyone to come expecting God to answer them, but above all, come to be equipped with the principles that will guarantee a victorious life afterward.

The convention will also feature free medical outreach, enriching seminars, insightful talk shows, and much more.

The Toplife Convention 2023 starts from Monday, 13th November 2023, to Sunday, 19th November 2023.
