RHN urges support for Tinubu’s re-election

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu

Says 55,000 Nigerians will pray for the bid in Lagos
The Director-General (DG) of the Renewed Hope Network (RHN), Lagos State chapter, Mohammed Oyinlomo Danmole, has urged Nigerians to support the re-election of President Bola Tinubu, saying continuity is necessary for the ruling All Progressives Congress to consolidate ongoing reforms and developmental projects initiated since 2023.

Danmole, while speaking with journalists in Lagos yesterday, said the Tinubu administration, through its Renewed Hope Agenda, had demonstrated bold leadership in the areas of economic reform, infrastructure, education, social investment, security and national productivity.

He said that the RHN would organise a grand interfaith prayer session for Nigeria and Tinubu on Sunday, May 10, 2026, and is expected to attract over 55,000 participants nationwide.

He said the gathering would bring together Muslims and Christians drawn from different geopolitical zones, professional bodies and faith-based organisations.

Danmole said the prayer session would focus on peace, unity, progress and prosperity in Nigeria, while also seeking divine guidance, wisdom and strength for President Tinubu and his administration.

Danmole added that the RHN would formally endorse Tinubu for a second term at the event.

He also said that the group would endorse Lagos State Deputy Governor, Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, as its preferred candidate for the 2027 Lagos governorship election.

The TRN director-general also defended the administration’s economic policies, including fuel subsidy removal, exchange rate unification and proposed tax reforms, insisting that the measures require patience and continuity to achieve long-term benefits.

According to him, a change in leadership at this stage could disrupt reforms and policies already underway.

He said that the RHN would intensify grassroots mobilisation, community engagement and outreach programmes ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“Our mission is to engage directly with ordinary Nigerians in their local languages, while respecting their cultures and traditions, and localising the renewed hope agenda in every ward, polling unit and community across the country,” he added.
