A prosecution witness and consultant Pathologist at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, Dr. Musa Stephen, yesterday, told a High Court sitting in Port Harcourt that an autopsy conducted on Chigozie Ezenwa and Olumma indicated that they were strangled to death.

The witness testified at the ongoing trial of  Chidiebere Okoroafor, a pastor of a new generation in Oyigbo Local Council of  Rivers State, who allegedly murdered three persons in his church including his choir mistress, Orlunma Nwagba, whom he allegedly impregnated.

Stephen, who spoke from a witness box, said he was consulted by the Nigeria Police Force to carry out the autopsy on the three dead bodies, which was done in the presence of several witnesses.

He said as a professional, the autopsy revealed that while the two adults were strangled, the little Christable Ezenwa, who is the daughter of Chigozie fell off from her mother’s back and hit her forehead on a stone leading to her death.

The doctor, who was responding to questions from the defence counsel, Innocent Ekwu, said the result of the autopsy can also be sent to other practitioners to clear any doubt about the result.

The prosecuting counsel, Precious Ordu from the State Ministry of Justice did not object to the question from the defence counsel, and the trial judge, Justice S.O Benson adjourned to June 28, for the continuation of trial.

Recall that operatives of the Rivers State Police Command had on December 17, 2017 arrested pastor Chidiebere Okoroafor and arraigned him for alleged conspiracy and murder of his choir mistress, whom he allegedly impregnated alongside her friend and her daughter.

Okoroafor was arrested following an alarm raised by the husband of one of his alleged victims, Chigozie Ezenwa, who was killed alongside her daughter, Cristabel Ezenwa, and her friend, Nwagba.
