‘Rumoured rift between Tunji-Ojo, Aiyedatiwa mere speculation’

• Group vows to support Tinubu in 2027

A support group within the All Progressives Congress (APC), Progressives Network for Tinubu (PNT), yesterday, dismissed the speculation of a purported strained relationship between the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

According to the group, the narrative of a discord between Tunji-Ojo and Aiyedatiwa was fabricated and amplified by those jittery of their political influence and seeking to create confusion in the state.

Director-General of PNT, Olumide Obadele, who spoke during a media briefing in Akure, the state capital, stressed that APC in the state remains one united family under the governor’s leadership.

Obadele, while emphasising that the Minister of Interior focuses on his national duties and remains committed to the development of the state, maintained that PNT is saddled with the sole mandate of galvanising support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

The group, however, further said that Tinubu’s audacious policies, such as the removal of the fuel subsidy and the floating of the naira, formed their resolve to support and mobilise for his re-election bid.

ALSO, another political support group, BTO for PBAT 2027, has reiterated its commitment to ensuring the re-election of Tinubu in 2027, describing his administration as steadily stabilising the economy and addressing security challenges with renewed determination.

The group, convened by Adojutelegan Adesuyi with Adewumi Folajimi as spokesperson, operates under the leadership of Tunji-Ojo. It pledged to make Ondo State a stronghold for Tinubu in 2027, citing his developmental strides and governance reforms as the basis of its resolve.

Adojutelegan, who spoke with newsmen, said: “President Tinubu’s administration is steadily stabilising the economy, tackling security challenges with renewed vigour, as well as laying a solid framework for long-term prosperity under the Renewed Hope Agenda.”

HOWEVER, the Coalition of Registered Political Party Members (CORPAM), yesterday, launched Emilokan agenda for Tinubu’s second term bid, saying that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) plan to unseat him in 2027 is dead on arrival.

The group described the scribes of ADC’s coalition, including Atiku Abubakar, Rotimi Amaechi, Rauf Aregbesola and David Mark, as “a conglomeration of bad belle” politicians who formed the coalition with the sole aim of wresting power from Tinubu in 2027.

CORPAM ‘s National Coordinator, Olaposi Oginni, who called the coalition catastrophic and an attempt by its members to stay in power, accused the coalition’s scribes and others of opposing progress to a new Nigeria, which the Tinubu-led government’s Renew Hope Agenda was trying to make come true through with its economic policies.
