From Muyiwa Adeyemi, Ado Ekiti A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State and former Senatorial aspirant, Mr Segun Osinkolu has vowed that the Southwest caucus of the party would resist any attempt to bring down the party’s National Leader, Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu in the party’s decision-making process.

Osinkolu described as “very unfortunate and disturbing”, the supremacy battle in the National Assembly, culminating in the election of Senator Bukola Saraki as the President of the Senate and Yakubu Dogara as the Speaker, House of Representatives.

Osinkolu said it was a gross political miscalculation and misdirected act of vengeance, for some bigwigs in the party to see the battle as an opportunity to decimate Tinubu, even at the expense of the party, when the National leader was only protecting the sanctity of the party’s supremacy.

In a statement in Ado Ekiti on Friday, Osinkolu advised the Southwest caucus of the party to refrain from being used against Tinubu, the party’s undisputable leader and benefactor, just for some people outside the zone to achieve their egocentric motives.

Osinkolu expressed confidence in the ability of Chief John Odigie-Oyegun –led National Working Committee to bring the situation under control, to foster cohesion and unity of purpose.

Osinkolu, however, appealed to the party’s leaders to reign on those who thought they could undermine the party and demonize perceived opponents, for them to actualize their personal ambitions, so that the acceptability currently being enjoyed by the party would continue to blossom .

Tinumbu should realize that what played out in the NASS succeeded in the interest of our national unity. Tinumbu should know that he is a regional emperor, it is a different ball game at the center. The SW should know that unity and peace in Nigeria is hinged on a tripod. Segregation of Ndigbo or a section of the country is the root cause of all the instabilities. National politics without SE & SS cannot work!!! To be forewarned is to be forearmed.

Stop fooling your self. Tinubu’s cup is full. There is nothing you can do that we stop his political plummeting.

SW is only happy when it greedily grabs the nations’s commonwealth to the detriment of others especially ss and se. Tinubu is the champion of ethnic politics. He should be checkmated.

Tinubu single handedly when Buhari said to him to produce a deputy, he brought Osinbajo. He also want to produce for NASS. It canoot work that way. This is not Lagos state where he has made himself almighty and a dictator. We are operating on the Federal level. In all about this, it is all about self, me, me,me not about the nation. If it is about the nation, all these will not crop up. Saraki, Lawan APC what are we fighting for? Only that it did not go Tinubu’s way. He will loose respect and the more people analyse the situation, the more he is criticised. It is not about SW it is about him moving on with the situation of things, bring Saraki closer instead of distancing him. There is dicotomy and division in the party already It will take the special grace of God for this oarty to be one again. Saraki is very much qualified for the position and been ambitious is no crime. He pursued his purpose and got what he was looking for. Tough!
