A secondary school student, Habib Salau, has been tragically stabbed to death by a female student, Sandra, following a fight outside Akoko Anglican Grammar School in Ondo State.

The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon shortly after school closing hours. According to sources, Sandra confessed to using a knife obtained from a student at Ajiroke Technical School to stab Salau.

The victim’s body has been deposited at the mortuary of the State Specialist Hospital in Ikare-Akoko. Ondo State Police Commissioner, Abayomi Oladipo, confirmed the incident and stated that the case has been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for thorough investigation.

In separate incidents, police in Ondo State arrested a 34-year-old man, Monday Chukwu, for allegedly stabbing his friend to death over a N2,000 debt. Chukwu and the victim, Kefa Ofando, reportedly engaged in a fight, during which Chukwu stabbed Ofando in the neck with a pair of scissors. Police also apprehended a 16-year-old secondary school student, Precious Kolawole, in connection with the murder of a caterer in Akure.
Kolawole, who had been on the run, was arrested weeks after his accomplice was apprehended.
