SDP Holds Ward Congresses Today

IN its determination to present itself as a strong force in the present political dispensation, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) ward congresses will take place across the country today in line with the directive of its National Executive Council (NEC).

The decision to conduct ward congresses in all the 774 local councils of the federation was taken after the party’s National Executive Council (NEC) two weeks ago in Abuja passed a vote of confidence on the party’s National Chairman, Chief Olu Falae.

Speaking yesterday in Osogbo, Osun State capital, the state Chairman of SDP, Chief Ademola Ishola explained that all state executives of the party and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had been briefed about the ward congresses across the federation.
