Senator Ngwu congratulates Gov Mbah on honorary doctorate

Senate Minority Whip and Senator for Enugu West District, Osita Ngwu, has congratulated Governor Peter Mbah on his conferment of a Doctor of Humane Letters (DHL) degree by the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology.

In a statement, Senator Ngwu described the honor as a well-deserved recognition of Governor Mbah’s relentless efforts in transforming the education sector in Enugu State.

“This prestigious honor is a testament to Governor Mbah’s tireless efforts in transforming the education sector in Enugu State. As a representative of the good people of Enugu West District, I am proud to say that our constituents are among the key beneficiaries of his visionary leadership,” Ngwu stated.

The senator commended Governor Mbah’s dedication to education and human capital development, noting that his decision to allocate over 33% of the state’s annual budget to education demonstrates his commitment to the sector.

He also praised the governor’s initiative to construct 260 Smart Green Schools, describing it as a transformative step toward improving experiential learning for children in the state.

“We cannot thank him enough for this initiative. His leadership has inspired a new generation of leaders, and we are confident that his legacy will endure for generations to come,” he added.

Senator Ngwu expressed hope that Governor Mbah would remain steadfast in his vision for a brighter future for Enugu and prayed for his continued success.
